Painting white wood molding, while the wooden window frames?

There is an oak in my house (molding, closet doors of rooms, windows, etc. ..). My wife and I are not big fans of wood and painted like the look. I want to go through the paint and all white edges but can not get into the task of painting wooden windows. My previous experience in the painting of window frames is the showcase of tThe tha does not open easily and stick. Replacement windows with vinyl is not an option because the windows are in great shape. Does anyone know of any house that has windows wrapped in wood molding white? How or would it look? I'd like to keep all wood doors and such, but all the base molding and the door would be painted white. Photos, advice .... any help is appreciated!

I had a client years ago who did exactly the same. They changed the molding to paint, but left the window frames of wood. Seemed pretty nice. Just make sure that only the paint and the casing. Do not bother, on the sill or jamb or window to search for "unplanned".
