How do I recognize Precioust metals platinum and gold?
How do I recognize precioust metals such as platinum and gold trim conditions, as jewelry or in any way becauze many silver jewelry or have chrome or built by these metals and gold jewelry has many materials other than gold, but it's really hard for me to findout the original material metal?
First ... find any pattern in jewelry, these numbers or letters and determine karat or silver. If no stamp of the piece is probably gold plated or filled. Precious metals (except silver) will not go away or tarnish. In his explanation .... It appears that your jewelry is silver. If you see other metal surface is silver. If the metal is fading but sees no metal laying low, gold is likely to fill. Platinum metal is very dense (heavy), malleable and has a gray / white tone. There are other colors besides white and yellow gold, if you see green or pink these peices are gold likey.
